Since its inception some twenty years ago, the Christmas Mitzvah Project, CO has coordinated Jewish volunteers with projects at facilities like  hospitals, hospices and assisted living centers throughout the Denver Metro-Area to assist staff, patients and residents on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The Christmas Mitzvah Project has evolved to offer volunteer opportunities at a diverse range of organizations in need of assistance during the Christmas Holiday. Participants can help relieve staff and help out at a time when many organizations are understaffed. One of the best gifts a person can give is a mitzvah (good deed) and the Christmas Mitzvah Project is a unique way to engage in a community-wide mitzvah at a time when we can. No special skills are required, only a few hours to give in the holiday spirit.
